Course Overview:
This Bloodborne Pathogens Safety Training course is designed to educate employees on the risks associated with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (BBPs), including Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV), and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The course provides essential knowledge on how to recognize potential exposure hazards, implement preventive measures, and respond appropriately in the event of an incident.
Course Objectives:
Understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how they are transmitted
Identify tasks and procedures that may pose a risk of exposure
Learn proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Understand the elements of an Exposure Control Plan
Learn the correct procedures for exposure incident response and post-exposure follow-up
Gain knowledge of safe work practices, hygiene protocols, and proper disposal of contaminated materials
